Waiheke Island Historic Village This historic village reflects European settlement as it was in the 1930s and is complete with cottages and a Woolshed that house historical photographs and artefacts including a wool press and whale-boiling cauldron. A display is also dedicated to the Maori who first inhabited the area 700 years ago. A shop onsite sells reproductions of historical photographs.
